Harmonie Preservation Foundation
After 50 years and 5 homes, Harmonie Members commissioned renowned architectural firm McKim, Mead & White to design its Clubhouse on East 60th Street.
The Harmonie Club prides
itself on being a meaningful part of New York as second oldest social club. Since our founding in 1852 by German Jewish
immigrants, we continue to attract a membership that is comprised of the city's
most accomplished and compelling people – today, we are equal parts social,
educational, epicurean, and athletic club. After the first 50 years and 5 homes
later, The Harmonie Club established its permanent home on East 60th Street, in
1905. The iconic Beaux Arts
building befits the quality of New York City history and underscores the
importance of the Club in New York Society today. The Harmonie Preservation
Foundation supports the crucial restoration of this landmark Clubhouse,
designed by the legendary Stanford White of architectural firm McKim, Mead
& White.
You can support this
important mission to maintain the architectural significance and related
infrastructure of a special New York landmark that delivers symbolic city
history and an ongoing diverse culture. The Harmonie Preservation Foundation
is a New York Not-for-Profit Corporation and is exempt from federal income tax
under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. This presents a
meaningful opportunity for your support with a contribution that is tax
deductible to the extent provided by law. We thank you in advance for your generous support. Please contact Controller, Richard Garfinkel at 212.292.7380 or [email protected].
